Advise on Leaf Purchase, 2018 SV 40

Based on the OP's location, I expect the car may have been from Canada, so it makes sense if the odometer is proving readings in km, while Leaf Spy is providing readings in miles: 70,664 km = 43,908 miles Why the odometer shows "miles" instead of 'km" is another issue.

    2025 SV+ questions

Is this a US model or other specific country? Have you looked through your manual for help on the warning issue? You can find details on the various settings on your car in the manual, although Nissan can be get vague at times in these manuals. I am not too familiar with Leafs that have...

Battery Degradation on 2019 Nissan Leaf

If I were you, I would open a case with Nissan corporate about this issue. They may end up giving you some money back or something similar. I filed a case on a defective passenger seat weight sensor a few months ago and got 50% money back for the repairs done by the dealer. Nissan extended...

Battery Degradation on 2019 Nissan Leaf

Hi, Heat is the enemy of batteries and electronics, so your issue seems likely due to the tropic (high heat & humidity) climate conditions in your country. The Nissan warranty varies between different countries. Nissan shows a 3year/100,000km warranty for Malta...

Best application for Leaf 2020 40kWh

Hi, Leaf Spy gives you info on the car's performance and battery data. You can find may threads on this forum about it. For a car controls app, like Nissan Connect, the only other option I can think of for your 2020 model is OVMS. Right now, this app does not seem to work on 2018+ models, but...

Updates on North American V2X/V2H/V2G Bi-Directional Charging

I haven't heard anything about using adapters with V2X, but my guess would be that it depends on the adapter. The adapter would have to be designed for 2-way power flow.

    Any updates on CCS1?

I have been seeing a lot of advertising on Facebook by A2Z EV for their adapters. Their CCS1-to-CHAdeMO adapter has been getting good reviews: https://a2zevshop.com/collections/charging-adapters/products/ccs1-to-chademo?variant=43661439533256

Updates on North American V2X/V2H/V2G Bi-Directional Charging

I'm not aware of any DIY installs in the US. Most of the info I've read about were done in other countries. I like to keep tabs on this tech too. More info on US market: Emporia's V2X device will be supplied with NACS or CCS1 plugs...

Is the Leaf’s L2 Charger Good Enough?

It's a great charging device (EVSE). I used my Nissan EVSE with the bracket as a permanent wall-mounted device at 240V in my garage for 2 years. I was commuting 90 miles round trip per weekday during that time, so I used the EVSE a lot. I found that I never really needed a portable device or...

It also doesn't mean it's not a 60 kWh battery.

I need advice with choosing the right car

Welcome! Based on the info you provided, I agree with the others on picking the 2018. Also, the 2018 model has a bigger battery and more range than the 2017.

    Bluetooth interference?

Bluetooth can be finicky at times on some phones. If you search this forum, you will find many posts about Bluetooth issues. Sometimes it's an issue with the phone, while other times it's an issue with the car. I think it was a hiccup on your phone. The phone probably saw the car -- which is...

Help understanding home charging when scheduled in the charger and not car

Are you using the car's Charge Timer in combination with the Hyperbolt EVSE's scheduled timer? If you set the car Charge Timer with an End Time of 0600, and enable Full charge has priority, then the car automatically adjusts the Start Time based on its present state of charge. Otherwise, it may...

    Wrong approach to charging infrastructure

Here in my area of the US, a lot of businesses and public buildings that have ChargePoint Level 2 stations started using that approach over the last 3 years. I have seen local libraries go from full 24/7 free to 1-2hrs free with $$/hr afterwards. I have seen those full free stations get abused...

Got any tips to boost my Nissan Leaf's mileage?

Welcome to the forum! You can get tips on Winter range from this thread: https://mynissanleaf.com/threads/winter-range.34472/ There are also plenty of threads on this forum with tips on how to increase range/mileage. The tire pressure tip is bounced around a lot here.

New Leaf owner in SW Washington

@cornbinder89 mentioned the 24 amp load on the EVSE for a 30A circuit, so I would stick with that for now. I would replace the 14-30 receptacle with a 14-50 receptacle because you will find that most plug-in style EVSEs come with a NEMA 14-50 or 6-50 plug. I would also go for an adjustable EVSE...
