I should clarify... An EV newer than mine with a 40kWh battery has no more value than an upgrade to my current vehicle to a 40kWh battery with other factors being equal. If the newer car had updated features I wanted then it would certainly increase the value to me.

Utah has a $250.00 tax on top of standard registration fees. I can somewhat agree with the fee as it replaces fuel tax which pays for road maintenance. However, I do wish it was based more on mileage as that would be more comparable to the fuel tax.

Got a call from Global Hybrid and they are indeed used batteries. Also do not ship outside of Canada.

I am thinking used batteries also but still awaiting a reply from Global. It would be nice to find a pack that does not have to ship from China to US.
