    2 years 12 bars

I recently completed the 2 yr battery check at the dealership with 5 stars across the board. However, we have just recently lost 1 bar, so are down to 11 of 12 bars after 15,790 miles in Hawaii. (Temps usually around 84 - 70 Deg F) We usually only charge to 80%, but occasionally charge to 100%...

    New Leaf DVD?

At first I thought my DVD was missing from my 2011 Leaf, but was pleasantly surprised to find it among the unread user manuals. :)

Why Did You Choose the Nissan Leaf over the Chevy Volt?

I looked at purchasing the Volt after the Leaf was sold out, but the dealer markup and terrible customer service killed the deal for me. The dealers wanted a 7K markup on the Volt on top of the already outrages price for a four seater car. Reason for Leaf: All electric - almost zero...

    Hawaii Leafs

There is a company installing free ev charging stations across Ohau. One of the first charging stations was installed recently at Pearl Ridge Mall and now Kahala Mall has two as well. You just pull up to the ev parking spot and plug in. It's as simple as that. No key fob, no pass code, nothing...

    Summary of EVSE options

I ordered the EVSE upgrade with the quick 220, together it works great! In the future I will install a permanent charger, but for now this works and its portable. Sending back my evse today to get my deposit back. 220v charging is so much better than 110 ...

    Combining outlets

I recently ordered the quick 220, plus the EVSE upgrade and it works fine. You have to find 2 outlets on seperate legs without gfci protection. The quick 220 device has a light that lets you know when it has the correct 110 outlets plugged in. I was skeptical at first, but read a lot about it on...

    Hawaii Leafs

I was thinking the same thing. The single blinking light means that the vehicle is charging and the battery SOC is low.

    Hawaii Leafs

I found the shorepower charging station on Ahui St. It's 1 dollar per hour for level 2 charging. They have several electric vehicle parking spots, but only one charger. The charger is in the parking lot across from the Children's Discovery Center Museum. -Facing the museum, so it's really on...

    Hawaii Leafs

I plan on being there with my Ocean Blue Leaf !! Anyone else planning on attending? It would be nice to see a parking lot full of electric vehicles.

    Hawaii Leafs

Couldn't you simply park next to them and unplug them, especially if you know they are not actually charging? I probably would have unplugged them at that point. This is why we need more charging stations on the island. Wouldn't be an issue if there were more charging points. You can check...

    Hawaii Leafs

Anyone going to participate in the national plug in day on oct 16th? Looks like everyone is meeting up on the north shore at 10am and heading down to the green energy outlet. Go to plug in America for details.

    New Slogan from Daughter

Yes, I like it....If Nissan is smart they have someone trolling this website for information / product research. Sounds like a winning slogan to me.

National Plug In Day - Sunday, October 16th

Anyone going to the event on Oahu? I see that everyone is meeting on the North Shore then heading into Honolulu to hear the guest speakers at the green energy outlet. I expect everyone will need a charge to get home after the trip to North shore and back to Honolulu. Anyone here have a point...

MY12 orders from Jul 25 in Tier 2, open to public on Aug 4

Skip the assessment. Call Nissan and have them waive it. You can charge on L1 until you decide what wall charger is best for your particular situation. Some people go with AV, but there are a lot more choices now. My point is not to wait for the RAQ simply to get the home assessment.

    Hawaii Free Parking

Hanauma bay is free, verified it myself. Poor lady had to get out of the car to look at the EV plates.

GE Announces WattStation Electric Car Charger

I'm considering this charger for my L2 charging, because it seems to be upgradeable. I mean it will be able to handle the higher charge rate of the Ford Focus and the 2013 leaf with the 6.6kw charging. Doubling the charging speed is very appealing to me, even if I have to wait for Nissan to...
