Georgia an electric car giant - But will it last?

Want to make it fair to everyone? Don't raise the gas tax, but keep it, and apply a $200 usage surcharge to everyone. It pays for the crumbling roads, EV's aren't singled out, and we all get to keep driving. From an Oregon prospective, where 2 year registration is $86, I can see no complaints...

LEAF 2 : What we know so far (2018 or later?)

There has been rumbling from a couple of dealerships that June-July of this year is a good time to look into replacing a Leaf. There is no confirmation that the magic "150" or "200" mile Leaf 2.0 will be out, but my Leaf specialist believes it would be worth the wait. But then again, you can...

    insurance related

You would be correct. Nissan on their leases have been applying internal GAP insurance to LEAFs. As such, if you lease the vehicle, drive off the lot, and it gets totaled, you are out any money you put down and your deductable, but that is it. Your insurance company, the other people's...

Future LEAF to offer choice of battery size

For the long shot... For the 2014 MY, Nissan offers the leaf with a 48 kWh "hot battery". It would explain the lack of leaks regarding the 2014 Leaf. They have it so locked down that no-one is talking about it. We can all dream right? :D

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

The Walgreens here in Oregon are charging $0.49 per kWH. That's rather steep considering that electricity is about 11 cents per kWH. I think Blink's $1 per hour is much more palatable by comparison. Just another reason to not shop at Walgreens :|

Comparing the S to the SV - a few questions

I personally had the same dilemma, S or SV. I ended up choosing the SV for 3 reasons: 1. Better seat covers - I test drove an S and I hated the feel of the material, it just felt cheap. 2. Cruse Control - I drive the highways sometimes and I like to have the option to relax. 3. Price...

Poll : What is your reason for going Electric ?

Is there an option for all of the above? I had been lusting after an electric car since Tesla showed us all what could be done with electric vehicles. The real turning point was the supreme court deciding that the government could decide what type of fuel goes into our gas tanks. When the...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

Hi, everyone! A long time lurker turned leaf owner. I leased a Super Black 2013 SV with the LED headlight package from Power Salem Nissan (If you go there, only talk to Bob Lacy!). Living in the northwest and liking to stretch the abilities of my things, I drove my new leaf 200 miles on the...
