    Deliberately ran out of power

Only owned the car about three weeks and I'm still getting familiar with the display, was expecting an audio warning of turtle, so I must have missed the yellow light coming on, I hope no one thinks I don't like this car, I think it's a lot of fun and the saving on fuel bills are fantastic, the...

    Deliberately ran out of power

Thanks for the tip, I will watch out for it if I'm in this situation again, at the time of running out I was looking at the trip meter to see how much further I could get wants the range display had disappeared.

    Deliberately ran out of power

Fantastic video thanks for posting, that is what happened to me, I have mistakenly thought that turtle mode meant walking speed or slower, but I was certainly right that there was no warning of when turtle mode was activated, the guy in the video stated that he couldn't do much more than 23...

    Deliberately ran out of power

I'm not sure I know what circles you are talking about, the power bars that show how much charge I have left were all gone, and as I approached a turning the power to the motor went off, everything else stayed on sat NAV and radio, tried a few times to get the car moving again but it would only...

    Deliberately ran out of power

Recently charged to 100% a couple of times about 10 days ago, is the App that you talk about free ?

    Deliberately ran out of power

The warning is fine, but the display not showing you exactly how much is left (in my case 10 kilometers) is not nice, and the car just stopping from normal driving without going into turtle is also not good.

    Deliberately ran out of power

After the display stop showing how many kilometers left and the flat lines started flashing I managed to drive 10 more kilometers before the car stopped and would only go into neutral, the lights and information screens still worked, but I could not get the car to move without being towed or...

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

It was an insurance write off auction specialist, so I was lucky to get a Leaf, the damage was only to body panels and airbags.

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

I'm not sure I understand your question fully, the charge I got from the dealer was the Nissan brick and on the label on the back it said 240v 10A. the only charging I did leaving London was with the rapid charger which puts out something like 400 volts DC at about 100A.

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

A little bit of "question time". Did you leave home at 10 AM at 100% full charge (12 of the wide bars on the right), if not, why not? The car didn't come with any charge cable and when I turned the car on there was only about 40 miles let, enough to drive to the 80% rapid charger Where I...

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

Thanks for the info, great forum, that means only normal charging and rapid charging for me, no point in buying a level 2 cable.

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

The only rapid charging station was at the beginning of my journey, the plug sockets after that were only 16A, have red that I can buy a larger 30A Nissan brick, but there is no point unless I have a 6.6kw on board charger, as the car came to me secondhand through an auction I have no idea if...

Thanks guys great information, this is my first week owning the car and I'm finding out a lot, and of course I have another question, how I can see what size my charger is ?

London to Belgium 150 miles in nearly 24 hours

Left London at 10.00 and headed for the nearest rapid charge station which was on route to the motorway, there was a car one charge in the bay at Nissan but the guys quickly freed the bay and put my car on charge, about half an hour later the charge was finished and the mileage shows 87 miles...

Emergency shut off system has been activated

Had the car transported to my friend's place where I can make some repairs, the 12 volt battery was completely dead, so we used one from another car, and the system came to life, and more good news when I found the key under a crisp packet on the driver's seat, call the locksmith anyway as I...

Emergency shut off system has been activated

The locksmith is an auto specialist and knows the setup on the leaf, he has told me that he received two codes from Nissan that he needs to input before reprogramming the new keys, the guy seems very knowledgeable and will only charge me when the job is complete, didn't even have to pay an...

Emergency shut off system has been activated

:D Thanks, I did have the same thought in mind, but felt I should check as that sounded too easy. the accident damage is only to the front bumper and the charging port compartment, unfortunately it set two air bags off, I'm hoping the replacement cost won't be too much.

Emergency shut off system has been activated

Bought a Nissan leaf that was involved in an accident, and was wondering how to bring the car back to life after the emergency shut off system has been activated ? I have downloaded the emergency rescue guide PDF from Nissan but this document only deals with disconnection, not reconnection, any...
