Why would anyone buy a nissan leaf right now???

100 percent daily, sometimes charging again during the day (like when I commuted and then wanted to go back downtown on Friday nights), plus all weekend local driving. Infrequent DCFC while my free membership was active. I live in a beautiful exurb that requires 20 minutes to get anywhere, plus...

Broken fog light lens on 2019

Something smashed my fog light lens on my new 2019 :( Does anyone have a part number, or know where I can find it? All I can find are Gen 1 fog lights. And does anyone know how hard this would be to fix? Is it gonna be a dealer thing?

Why would anyone buy a nissan leaf right now???

Not at all consistent with miles in mine. I just sold a 2017 with 49k miles on it, 12 bars, no firmware update. I honestly think these cars like to be driven as long as you can keep the temperature in a good range.

2019 SV - big rattle behind center dash?

My 2019 SV has developed a serious rattle behind the dash in about 1k miles. When the passenger pushes their knee on the center console, it mostly disappears. Anyone have any experience with this one?

    Leaf or Bolt?

Yes, Tynan. I don't understand why they are so much cheaper than everyone else but they are. Some of their models have hail damage but mine doesn't (or maybe it was repaired?).

    Leaf or Bolt?

Just bought another Leaf, a 2019 SV. $13,500 + $7,500 off was too much to resist!

    Leaf or Bolt?

I guess that's my point, even with those discounts the Leaf retains more of what I pay net over a year or two. Mostly because I pay quite a bit less for it to start.

    Leaf or Bolt?

Carvana disagrees that the Bolt is worth considerably more actually, and they're the folks buying my hail damaged 2017 S with 50k miles on it for 10k. A 2018 Bolt LT with most packages and 22k miles is worth about $21.5k. A 2018 SV with Tech pkg and same mileage is with about $20.5k to Carvana...

    Leaf or Bolt?

In some ways it's better... It's also far more expensive and doesn't have ACC or ProPilot available. At least in CO, dealers are stuck at around $8-10k off MSRP even with the smaller fed rebate, and the upper end of that value requires some weird financing deals.

    Leaf or Bolt?

Now they're saying it will stack. Guess I'll find out when I go to buy on Thursday. $3-4k before taxes and everything seems like a steal to get 33 percent more range, more power, auto headlights, Android Auto, reset warranty, ACC....

    Leaf or Bolt?

Carvana is offering $10,020 for my hail damaged Leaf, and that price is post tax credit. That would be quite a deal if it weren't, lol. Just learned it may be 14.4 due to a discount that won't stack. Still good tho.

    Leaf or Bolt?

Hi, Leafers! I'm trading up out of my 2017 Nissan Leaf after I found that Carvana would pay me more than what I paid for it new (thanks, Colorado state tax credit!), and I want another great deal. In Colorado, we don't get the same incentives or model availability that you lucky Californians...

Lease is up ... Leaf or Bolt ?

My 2017 has 12 bars, 49k miles, and no battery update. These cars like to be driven. I've seen far less than 10 percent range degradation, probably 5-8 percent. That's about the same as a Tesla with the same amount of miles, though mine probably won't last as long.

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

This bitty gets charged to 100 percent every day, though I try to time it to my departure.

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

Will a pre-recall reading mean anything? I definitely agree with your assertion that frequent use seems to help. Our summers are warm but it does spend the whole winter outside at altitude.

    Clicking/grinding when turning wheel

I had this exact problem (popping noise on full lock in reverse when cold), never got it fixed, and the sound hasn't happened this winter. Weird.

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

I'm at 41k mi (66k km) on my 2017 S in Colorado, zero bars down, haven't done the recall yet. It sounds like it's extremely rare for a 30kWh pack to go this far without losing bars pre-recall?

    wait for 2019 leaf?

Same here in Colorado, there are tons of 2018 Leafs sitting on the lots even when you can get an S with QC for $24k + tax (before rebate, $16k or so after rebate). That price is VERY tempting but I wonder if it's going to go even lower.

    Leaf Arbitrage?

I mean, the Leaf doesn't depreciate like a rock in this situation though. I'm paying $16.9k net, I could literally take that car to any other state and sell it at that price even with 10k or 20k miles on it, if it were in great condition. DarthPuppy: that's a good thought, and exactly what lead...

    Leaf Arbitrage?

Huh? The cheapest '18 on AutoTrader is $27k or so. I don't think you can look at a '16 or '17 and trend it out the same way considering the battery is considerably larger and the car has undergone a complete redesign. In fact, the cheapest 30kWh Leaf I can find on AutoTrader is around $14k...
