I did not take photos of it- sorry. If you follow the cable for the hood release, the spare grommet is literally 1" to the left (towards the outside of the car) If you look in the engine compartment, you can see it- look behind the battery and as far back in the lower driver corner as possible...

Outstanding! PIN #85 looks like a winner. Now where do I find this AV Control Unit plug- coming out of the head unit? Or maybe I pull the output off the antenna amp itself? Any ideas on what might be easier access?

Thanks for the idea. The beauty of the ADS amp is the high impedance input stage so that it does not need a LOC but can take straight speaker level inputs. So all I need is a 12v remote turn-on wire to complete this. Anyone else have knowledge of a 12v stereo turn-on before I start poking around?
