Correct. 7 modules=14 cells on series. Only one BMS needed. You can put as many cells in parallell as you like.

Yes, I leave a little headroom both on top and bottom. How much can be adjusted on the fly on the BMS. Also the inverter is programmed for seasonal variations. It will use more potential of the battery in the summer, compared to the winter.

Yes, we are passing 50 000 electric cars here soon in this small country. Nissan Leaf is nr one, and Tesla nr two. And as mentioned, there can be some difficult driving conditions here. Might be cruel but i am hoping for a very slippery winter ;)

Lithium batteries can be put together in parallel in very endless numbers. Just look the Tesla battery. If i were to change it in to two strings of 5 in parallel, i would need two BMS`s. Would not make any sense.

Oh and another thing. The manufacturer of the BMS is asking for discharge curves @ different loads to make the calculations of SOC a bit better. Now it is a bit off. (0.3C, 0.5C, 1C, 3 C, 5C @ 25°C) and temperature (0°C, 10°C, 25°C, 40°C @ 0.5C or 1C ). Has anyone seen this data somewhere?
