yes you can use the preheat/precool with the L1 charger. You have to set the timer and you have to tell it which one you want first, charge or preheat. Unless you know that the car will be fully charged by the time your departure time is set for.

Keep the old truck, keep it tuned up, change the oil and filters. If your not driving it that much then that keeps the cost down for you. Replacing it with something newer can cost even more not knowing what the "new" one will need in terms of maintenance. Deferred maintenance can get costly.

After driving the Leaf for 3 months now when I get back into an ICE vehicle it feels like I have to push harder on the brakes to bring the ICE vehicle to a stop. Always feel like I am going to over shoot my stopping point. But like was said earlier every vehicle has its own feel.

At work every Wednesday for 6 weeks. Had to travel a total of 70 miles after work. Its 30 miles to work. Most fridays at work, just because you never know what your doing. Hit all the public chargers in town (3) just so they would show up on the map.

My AV was installed 12/17/11 inspected 12/20/11 was not billed until 3/22/11 got email from AV. Then on 3/24/11 got email from nissan and it changed on DB. Don't know if yours will take as long as mine.
