Are you planning to reserve Tesla Model 3 ?

Or, it appears the writer of the article is writing about something she doesn't understand and confusing deposits with pre-orders. A journalist doing such a thing? Shocking.

    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

If the glass blocks the UV and IR it should be fine. Here's hoping. I would love a roof like that, I hope it isn't too much, as I don't think that will be part of the base model.

Good news on you next battery replacement

Since we're going to necro post with a blog article from 4 years ago, here is a "newer" bit of information on Envia from 2 years ago. Wonder if anyone has anything new to add. ;) http://cleantechnica.com/2014/07/29/envia-wins-battery-contract-detroit-automakers/

Nissan Connect EV Problems for 2016 Leafs

This is exactly what happens with my Wife's 2012 SV. It always starts out blowing cold air, and you never know when that warm air will come out. Sometimes it starts within a minute, other times you can drive a half hour and never get warm air to come out. The climate control is a disgrace...

Regenerative braking - why have the option to NOT have this?

Not sure what you mean by "no good reason". The battery being full, therefore having nowhere to put the energy transferred by the regen braking seems like a pretty good reason to me. ;)

You are correct. I bookmarked this thread earlier for that exact reason. :)

How to recharge your heat-pump water heater (HPWH)

I got my GE about 14 months ago now. Installed it myself and cost after incentives was about $500. It's already paid for itself. Wife and I haven't had any problems with running out of hot water yet.

    2015 Tax Credit for EVSE?

There was a federal credit that ended last year. That is what the OP was referring to.

    2015 Tax Credit for EVSE?

I can't find anything about it so I would guess no.

    Looking for a leaf

You will get roughly 4 Miles per hour put in the battery when charging with 110. With 240 you'll get about 13 Miles per hour replaced. assuming you end up with a 2011 or 2012 model. The answers to all these questions are peppered around the forum. When I joined 2 months ago, I had great luck...

    Looking for a leaf

Might want to start here.... http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=14102 I will say that in that price range, the battery is likely going to be degraded to the point that a 60 mile trip will be difficult, unless of course you can charge at work, then you'll be good.

Nissan IDS concept shows Next Gen Leaf with 60kwh

Just a minor niggle. You have the terms backward compatibility and forward compatibility reversed. Backward compatible is when a newer item can be used in an older product. I.e., if the new battery pack can be used in older Leafs it is backward compatabile. Sorry, sometimes I just can't...
