    Thanks

They would get a hell of an earful from me if they tried to pull that BS. It is one thing if they buy the car back and resell it themselves without upgrades but it is entirely another to remove it after the fact when a person paid a price on the used car based on that feature being included. I...

    Thanks

I got it used from a Chevy dealership that had no idea what they were selling. The VIN does not differentiate between regular dual motor and performance dual motor on the 2018's, nor does it tell you if the car has "full self driving" or not. I don't really like talking about my finances on...

    Thanks

So don't floor it... it is really as simple as that. There is nothing requiring y'all to mash the pedal every time a light turns green and the motor is extremely efficient so you'll get awesome range if you choose not to drive with a heavy foot. I like mashing the pedal off a stoplight a couple...

    Thanks

They’re different. The Leaf being a hatchback is obviously nice but the Tesla has the Frunk and a huge cubby underneath the floor in the trunk that fits the evse and other things I keep in the car. Plus the Tesla has a lot more usable space in the center console than the Leaf. I think both are...

    Thanks

I can tell you my initial impression of the differences right now as I have been driving it for a week already. I purchased a 2018 model 3 on the used market with premium interior and dual motor. The Leaf is easier to get in and out of and has a more comfortable seat in my opinion. The Leaf...

    Thanks

I'll still be in an EV... and yes it is a used Model 3. My car before the leaf was a tuned WRX and I really missed the performance. I could finally afford to have the best of both worlds so I jumped on it. The family and I will miss the Leaf, it was a great car.

    Thanks

I have a private sale at a good price set up already. With dealers selling CPO 40KWh SLs with less than 10k miles for $23k in Virginia I could only hope for so much.

    Thanks

I have decided to sell my Leaf. After 4.5 years and 65000 miles of problem free driving (between my 2015 and 2018) I am moving on to something a little sportier now that I'm finally done paying for daycare :). Thanks to everyone on the forum that has helped me out over the years, this place has...

    EV charging tax credit

I just happened to stumble on this. It looks like the charging infrastructure credit has been reinstated as part of the last spending bill the federal government passed. https://ww.electrek.co/2019/12/18/us-extends-tax-credits-for-ev-chargers-motorcycles-fuel-cells-again-retroactively/

Please Report 2018 - 2020 Leaf Defects Here

I'm curious what comes of this. I have also experienced a strange sound when turning left into driveways or shopping centers. It is almost like a clunk and grind type of sound that I can feel vibrating in the chassis. It doesn't happen all the time but it is loud enough that my wife has noticed...

    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

I was considering getting a model 3 this year before the credit expired as someone was interested in taking over my lease on the Leaf. The deal fell through but I had reserved a base standard range model 3 knowing I could cancel before delivery if things didn't work out. Long story short, I...

Anyone seen a 2020 Eplus on a lot yet?

The Nissan USA website doesn't have the 2020 leaf available as far as I could tell. It only talks about the 2019.

    Tesla Cybertruck

Not sure what to tell you about your experience but I can vouch for the fact that I ordered one in mid November from the Richmond/Glen Allen Tesla dealer. Things didn’t work out with getting my Leaf lease transferred so I had to cancel but I assure you it was on my account as $35000 + $1200 +...

    Tesla Cybertruck

It’s not relevant and I’m not naive I know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a software limited SR+ why would it take any longer to deliver than other models? If you are correct about the cost maybe they sell it at a loss so they can get you to pay later by unlocking features? Maybe they...

    Tesla Cybertruck

Irrelevant to the discussion of whether or not you can buy one still.

    Tesla Cybertruck

I'm not sure why you'd be so confident in your tone considering you are completely, and demonstrably, wrong. To use a statement like "in point of fact" is in effect to say "actually" as if you are correcting someone. When in this case you are not correcting anyone you are just spreading false...

    Tesla Cybertruck

Mixed messages aside, my point was that the car absolutely exists and you can buy it today (contrary to what was implied in that post I responded to). It is a hell of a value in my opinion. MSRP vs MSRP I would take that over any $35000 Leaf offering. Fortunately I didn't have to pay anything...

    Tesla Cybertruck

I don’t want to get in the middle of y’all’s pissing match but I wanted to point out that the $35k model 3 exists right now. You can go into a dealer and they’ll order it for you. It is a software limited Standard range plus with 220 miles of range, slightly slower acceleration, a couple of...

    Gen 2 heated steering wheel

My 2015 steering wheel and seats both got hotter than the ones on the 2018. The steering wheel especially. It is OK on the 2018 but the old one was the best on a really cold day...
