    2015 Nissan Leaf [Parting Out]

Rear bumper: Hmm...wife will be in CC in February. Wonder if it could possibly fit in our 2014 Avalon Hybrid (rear seat doesn't fold down) Wheels are clean? Any corrosion/discoloration (salt spray)? How many miles on the car?

    COVID-19 aka 2019 (and 2020) Novel Coronavirus

The ONLY way to stop a virus is to stop the spread. How do you stop the spread? That's pretty obvious, Simplistic, for sure, but scientifically sound.

prepared meal services (e.g. Freshly, Tovala, etc.)

Leftie: You should know better than to feed the troll. His latest post wasn't funny, was insulting and demeaning. He probably already knows that, which is why he posted.

prepared meal services (e.g. Freshly, Tovala, etc.)

My gadget-oriented son wants me to buy a dry/air fryer...to set on the kitchen counter. I pointed out that the 35-year-old hi-end oven that was installed when the house was built has a CONVECTION OVEN setting, which...does...the...exact...same...thing...very efficientaly. Marketing...sheesh.

    COVID-19 aka 2019 (and 2020) Novel Coronavirus

...and Cruz' Texas just topped 20k NEW covid19 cases yesterday...that's 20k new cases in ONE DAY! I'm live in Fort Worth, TX. Dog-walking (marathon runner) friend of mine (early 60s): met him walking on the Trinity. He kept his distance (he was a total denier), passed by, stopped, said, "I've...

    12 volt battery issues

chandfigi: posting your location in your signature is helpful. If you're living in a hot area, 12v batteries suffer, although I agree 2.5 years is brief. Check on your door jamb, note your date of manufacture. Your car may be closer to 3 years old.

    COVID-19 aka 2019 (and 2020) Novel Coronavirus

I sincerely hope that those that recover from the virus won't boast about it being easily survivable. It might be, for some. For 240,000 (and counting), it clearly wasn't. (annual flu deaths, 12,000-60,000...so much for THAT comparison.)

    COVID-19 aka 2019 (and 2020) Novel Coronavirus

Your question is a good one. I've deleted my post as irrelevant. The cold (frozen) storage requirements for this new vaccine border on the absurd.

    Official Tesla Model Y Thread

leftiebiker: Thanks for the spare tire info. I eyeballed a Model Y at the Tesla showroom, and it appears the spare in its case could be secured on either side bulkhead. I'm also going to explore modifying the rear well under the floor. There just might be enough room for the ModernSpare...

    Official Tesla Model Y Thread

I think I've read all the posts here, and didn't see any discussion of the ContiSilent tires, and the reality that the foam insert, which runs sidewall-to-sidewall under the entire tread, is impossible to fix with the sealant system that comes as OEM on the Tesla. (I'm NOT advocating use of the...

    Official Tesla Model Y Thread

Happy to soon be joining the Model Y crowd here. Order confirmed on 10/29, awaiting VIN. Looking forward to detailed conversation both here and at TeslaMotorsClub (where the conversation is, for the most part, rather trivial!!!). We sold our 2018 Prius Four Touring, with 32k miles, back to a...

    Michelin CrossClimate2

Question about the CrossClimate: is there a different weight rating for the H vs. the V? Did the installing shop verify this? Regarding wheel R&R: I invested in a good quality Craftsman torque wrench almost 20 years ago. Whenever ANYONE removes/replaces a tire on any of my vehicles, I...

    COVID-19 aka 2019 (and 2020) Novel Coronavirus

It's tough trying to manage a country hell-bent on naive, jingoistic "freedom" and "patriotic" rhetoric. Every state wants autonomy, "freedom from tyranny", until they need something, like infrastructure replacement (still not happening) and/or disaster relief...or national defense. 330 million...
