    CAR COVER

those were just random example. I was asking if anyone had experience with a store, website or product that was good. this is for an outdoor cover for a 2018. But any experience endorsing a brand or product would be useful.

    Battery Management Strategy

thanks to all for the info. Nissan guys told me that by 2013, Nissan had data showing the 100% charging was not an important factor in battery degradation; more like 80% wasnt a solution since folks mistreated the battery sufficiently in so many other ways. as a result, they took out the 80%...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

i just bought in LA area and got 32k with 3ks in factory rebates for loyalty and NMAC (Nissan lending bank) with zero percent on the full amount. That is for an SL with Tech package and some extras--carpets and mud guards.

    Battery Management Strategy

I have replaced a 2011 with a 2018--yesterday. The charge option of 80% charging is gone or how do I find it? DId i miss something. I read below, and it seems folks are still saying charging to 80% is best. What is the best strategy for charging a 2018 battery to 80%?

    The 40KWH Battery Topic

I just replaced a 2011 with a 2018. What happened to the 80% charge option? Is it not necessary because the battery is larger and a portion is set aside in reserve?

    Module with 30 kW battery

I have an original 24kwh battery in my May 2011. I want to put in a new battery. Is Nissan service depts selling 30 and 40 kwh replacements? are they compatible with the 2011 with some wiring harness modifications by the dealership?

    8 bar battery replacement metrics

it has been awhile; can someone remind me of the requirements for warranty replacement of the original battery? is it warranted for 60,000 miles over 5 years to retain at least 8 bars -- so i have until 2016? i am about to go to just 9 bars any minute.

Early Adopter Mistake - Running on Empty

it is 60,000 miles in how many years to qualify for the free battery? -- yes, I see it is five now. i have a 2011 with 45k and down 2 bars and expecting to lose a third this summer.

Hard to Believe:Young Women With Such Bad Etiquette @station

I agree with what you say here about this incident and the shaming, with regard to how to responsibly deal with people with whom you disagree or whose behavior you want to affect. also, the author might reflect on his choice of words in calling the women "young girls."

Stoaty's Battery Degradation spreadsheet now for prospects!

my bad. very sorry about that. I entered the totals and am now trying to understand what I am seeing. How do I translate what I see to understand changes to range? But first two pressing questions: -In terms of "days in the sun"--what do I enter if my parking spot is in the sun part of each...

Early Adopter Mistake - Running on Empty

what do these two markers translate to in terms of range? my calculations seem to come out too high for my typical 4.0 - 4.4 miles/kWh. that would mean i could get about 3.3 x 4 = 13 miles at LBW and 5 miles at VLBW. is that right?

Early Adopter Mistake - Running on Empty

I am a rower in this boat, too. down two bars about 6 months ago; today's stats are: 44k miles and 4 years plus a month of ownership (not counting losing two months of usage to two separate car repairs). annual mileage will be way down now with no more commute; so doing closer to 3k miles a year...

Stoaty's Battery Degradation spreadsheet now for prospects!

i changed the values and entered mine, but HOW do i get it to digest my entries and give me the predictiosn? i may be too unfamiliar with such an excel worksheet that yields "view in preview."

Having a hard time deciding between nav or QC port

you want the BT for the radio and ballgames and whatever. it is what will get the most use. I would go that way. but only you know whether the QC will be something you will use. of course, the real answer is to look around for the entire package.

    Tesla Powerwall

Here in LA, the municipal utility charges $8 a month as a service charge to solar users. I would think that covers the cost of being wired in, or at least minimizes it. the rates on TOU are three tiers ranging from about 8 cents a kwh nites and weekends to 22 cents for daytime 1-5pm in summer 4...

Solar company in orange county area

i would check out AMECO, out of Long Beach area. They did mine in 2008. Very reliable and local. had three bids and i was impressed with their longstanding commitment to solar, and their CEO's leadership in the movement going back to the 80s. David Saltzman Operations Manager AMECO (562)...
