Are dealers willing to negotiate on 2018 Leaf in CA?

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't even know a 60kw model is coming 2019, I have time, might even get sweater deals in December since the PGE discount can't be applied here, so I'm no longer in a hurry.

Are dealers willing to negotiate on 2018 Leaf in CA?

It's for an SV with the advance and the tech package. I think that's what it's called, basically the two available options. Unfortunately, both dealers I've talked to offers one or the other. So we can take the 3k PG&E discount out of the equation. So 28,405 is the sell price, after tax...

Are dealers willing to negotiate on 2018 Leaf in CA?

So I spoke to PG&E, they said their rebate is separate from what the dealer is willing to discount on top of that. That doesn't help much obviously. But I guess what they means is the dealer can't use that against you IMO. So the best quote I received today was 36,405 MSRP -4000 dealer...

Car in shop--who pays for loaner?

But doesn't the "brand' US corporate have anything to do with the private dealers? The luxury brands, Mercedes in particular has a level of customer service that has to be met by MB USA from what my SA told me. MB service department is top notch in my area and Lexus is equally great if not far...

Car in shop--who pays for loaner?

Thanks for that... I've always own EU brand and one Lexus beside the leaf so I wasn't aware of this. It has always been as you described, gotten a pretty decent loaner. Definitely a good to know so I don't go screaming at Nissan SA when I have to Uber home. Lol

Are dealers willing to negotiate on 2018 Leaf in CA?

We're looking at trading in our 2013 for a 2018 Leaf. The 10 State and Fed credit plus a 3k PGE rebate makes the leaf under $20k at the moment.

Car in shop--who pays for loaner?

What a minute.... I've never had any vehicle service at the dealer w/o a loaner or rental. So you're saying that Nissan does not provide loaners? The leaf now was the only one I purchased used and it's our first Nissan so I'm unaware of this, but looking at a 2018 leaf now and stumpled on...

Anyone got a Tesla model 3?

We have two reservations that's ready to configure. Debating if it's worth the jump at the $50k price tag. We enjoy the leaf a lot but hate the range. Just left the Tesla dealer to sit in a model 3. For some reason I feel like it's lacking something or im just not used to the missing dash...

Breaks makes grinding sound when reversing in cold weather

I noticed that sometime, when I reverse and break, it makes a grinding sound like metal to metal. Break pads appears fine and the sound goes away once I drive the vehicle. It does not make the same sound when driving forward. Anyone else have this issue?

Are you guys replacing all 4 tires?

Front stock Ecopia on my 2013 requires some love. I read a lot about folks hating them here so I wanted to try something different. The rears has plenty of life left. Wonder if I needed to do all 4 or just replace the worn ones with what I want and replace the other with the same one down the...

    Anyone charging 2 EV's using 100amps mains?

It's funny that the idea was to use a Zwave relay as I was just thinking the same thing. I don't use Smart Things but Vera, I already have energy monitoring of my "whole house" and already have a log of what my house uses on standby and how much it draws when A/C is running or when the stove is...

    Anyone charging 2 EV's using 100amps mains?

Thanks guys, great options out there. It'll set us back between $3k to $5k for the service upgrade, With out Leaf, we haven't had the need to ever go below 20% of it's charge. I'd imagine it'll be the same with the Tesla. It'll also be very seldom that both will need to be charged from emptied...

    Anyone charging 2 EV's using 100amps mains?

When we purchased the Leaf, it was a place holder for a model 3 but the Leaf has served its purposed pretty well so we're going to keep in. However, having the Tesla we'll need to add a 2nd 40amp 240 to the house. Our mains is only 100amp. Will I need to upgrade my service panel to a 200 amps...

    Does GPS maps update automatically?

Thanks everyone. The dealer told me the maps updates automatically via satellite hence my assumption. I'm well aware of Satellite and GPS functions. There are different types of satellites, the one I use and work with also support data transfer, similar to GoGo Inflight on airlines or Inmarsat...

How do you remove the rear combo lights?

According to the manual, there are 3 bolt that holds it down and should be a simple pull out. For the life of me I tried to pry it out but it wouldn't budge.
