Is there a version of Leaf Spy that... um... Spys?

Someone set something up like that here in this thread: http://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=24584

Charge a little each day, or longer charges every few days?

I believe the car counts plugging it in as one charge on the counter and then starting the actual charge as another charge on the counter. For my LEAF on L2 it pretty consistently goes up by 2 for every one charge.

Charge a little each day, or longer charges every few days?

I'd also recommend L2 charging just because it's more efficient so you're using less energy to charge it the same amount, saving you money. Either way you're charging at a low enough rate that it probably won't affect the battery much.

Can't Adjust VSP Settings in LeafSpy Pro

You have to enable the Service Menu from the settings. I believe it unchecks that box after you exit the app to prevent anyone from accidentally changing parts of the car. The car also should be on and it might require the car to be in "ready" mode.

Traded my Leaf; was it a lemon?

That doesn't sound too unreasonable in terms of range to me. I drive mostly highway and on the best days my estimates would be about 70 miles for 100 to 0%. I drive 37 miles each day and end up with anywhere between 20% and 50% remaining based on weather with 90 to 95% SOH on my 2015 SV.

heat when plugged in and fully charged

Did you fully turn the car on to Ready mode? (car with arrows on the dash). You have to do that to turn on the climate control, if you just push the button without pressing the brake it will just go into aux mode and run the fan without running the heat.

Charging My 2016 Leaf With Solar

You're forgetting about voltage. AHr is only half of the equation when looking at energy storage, you really need to think about kwh, which is more useful here. Let's say you can pull half of the energy out of the batteries safely, so 50AHrs each at 12 V gives you 1200 watt-hours or 1.2...

MyEVStats.com - Stats Tracker for Leafs

Maybe combine that with the ability to click on a specific VIN to see it daily (either the entire list, or just for the clicked month).

Were you messing around with anything? I'm getting an error today: "Call to undefined function getYear()" https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw0SQbVdPbb3RUhISGcwc3VwLXc/view?usp=sharing

So I think I'm getting an error when I'm at full charge. I managed to get a screenshot of it this time. It looks like my GIDS value (267) is out of range? Are you only allowing up to 255? It works fine when the battery is discharged further...

MyEVStats.com - Stats Tracker for Leafs

I think your baselines on the 2013+ years is off. Brand new I believe my car (#14302) would have about 62 Ah, definitely not 75 Ah. It's still just a 24kwh pack but the 75Ah is for the 30kwh packs (most 2016s and all 2017s). I also might not be able to contribute much in the future. My...

MyEVStats.com - Stats Tracker for Leafs

Looks like my data made it through, though the first few sends appeared to be giving me a SQL error on the insert, which might have been because I wasn't sending GPS data? I'm assuming a column wasn't set to allow nulls. Later on it started saying "Error 0 Status 0" instead so I'm assuming that...

Question about heater in 2015 Leaf Trim S

How much are you planning to drive in a typical day? If you're trying to regularly get 50 miles in the winter with all highway driving you'll probably want the heat pump. If you're really going to try to go 125 miles one-way you'll absolutely want the quick charge port. If you're only going 20...

    Warranty confusion - Help!

The dealership I bought from was fine with me using LeafSpy and the other I was in talks with was willing to send me the LeafSpy data before I even saw the car. It doesn't hurt to ask, but it does hurt to not ask.

    Battery % w/o Nissan Connect

Only the SV and SL trims have any sort of remote access. The S trim does not have the ability to use Nissan Connect. I second the suggestion to use an OBDII dongle. You can use LEAF Spy to monitor it on your phone, or you could try to set something up that talks to the dongle through bluetooth...

Opinion on 2015 SV certified Leaf offered at local Nissan dealership

Even if it wasn't, the 2015s get the upgrade for free. It's through AT&T. There's no such thing as a 30kwh battery on anything except 2016 and later. I second the suggestion to use LEAFSpy to see what the actual battery health is at. I have a 2015 at 27500 miles and am at 94% SOH (but just...
