    New Owner dumb minor questions

Learning how to use eco mode and brakes most effectively is one thing to learn... Nothing has really annoyed me so far. I haven't had any issues with the wheel so yeah that sounds like a driving style change. Not a huge fan of the placement of the E-brake, but at least it's easy to engage and...

Time of use electric rates in MA?

Well, let us know how it goes for you. As an aside - who installed your solar panels, and are you happy with them?

Time of use electric rates in MA?

I called them and they said they do not offer this program. ... Despite it being documented on their website.

Tired of people asking if it's a Hybrid. "ELECTRIC" badges installed

I just got my Leaf last week... I'm planning on getting my EV plate soon. Gotta watch the RMV website to see how the Watertown lines look. It is tempting to pick up one of those 100% Electric badges. It would be nice for it to be more publicized on the car.

I ended up buying the 2015 and honestly I think I got a great deal - it's so close to new it's crazy.

Going to run a circuit - Siemens Versicharge?

I had an electrician check it out and he didn't see any problem adding the circuit. Getting a quote from him and a couple others. Although I did discover that my entire basement isn't on a single 30 amp so there is a chance that I might not do it... But man, to have quicker charging would be...

Going to run a circuit - Siemens Versicharge?

Makes sense. 300 watts of overhead it consistent with what I've heard, so when they say 3.3kw they actually mean 3.3kw going into the battery. Cool.

    Post Your Order Details Here

Holy cow. Yes, that was an outstanding deal. I tried to see if local dealers could manage something like that on a new one around here but they couldn't. Best price I could get would have been 20k.

Going to run a circuit - Siemens Versicharge?

If I only charge outside the 14' would be fine, but it wouldn't reach the other garage bay where the Leaf would be parked if I wanted to put it in the garage... It's certainly worth consideration to pony up the extra dollars for the more expensive one. Thanks!

Going to run a circuit - Siemens Versicharge?

Regarding the charging timer on the Leaf - It only lets you set a stop time, doesn't it? I have the S without nav and the manual seemed to say that the way it works is that you set a stop time and then if it can get to 100% before that time it'll delay until it calculates it needs to start, and...

Going to run a circuit - Siemens Versicharge?

I'm going to have a dedicated circuit run for charging and I'm trying to decide if I should go in-for-a-penny, in-for-a-pound. The circuit run should be easy - my garage is on basement level so it's just a matter of having an electrician wire into the breaker box (I have a spare 30 amp breaker...

    Fun 'adventure' ends in success

It wasn't the charge timer - I left out that the reason I had to pick it up so late was that the salesman noticed it hadn't charged and he said that it had been on the timer after the detailers finished with it and plugged it back in. We tried cancelling the timer, but to no avail. Then by...

One step closer - Questions after researching

Nope just 1 fob... But from reviews of the dealer I knew that would happen. I've never lost a fob before so I don't expect it'll be a problem.

    Fun 'adventure' ends in success

I thought it went smoothly - the connector had just gotten damaged a couple days before when they tried to disconnect it from a different Leaf on their lot with ice on the button. (I saw them try to disconnect it when I first visited my car on Saturday) I'm very pleased with the purchase -...

    Fun 'adventure' ends in success

Following everyone's advice I ran down to North End Motors on Thursday, signed the docs, and paid for my new Leaf! They deal with registration, so I went back to work to wait for everything to get processed. Meanwhile my Leaf hung out in the lot attached to their L2 charger. Around 4 I got a...

Northeast MA: Anyone have a Bluetooth OBD tool I can borrow?

Well, they're both in Massachusetts if that's what you're asking... :-) But yeah 2 hour drive.

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Details in this thread: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23421 But it's a 2015 (Really legitimately - the original dealer got it in 12/2014 and it got leased 1/2015). Battery's in great shape, 12k miles. Ultimately it became clear that this was a great car and a good price for...

One step closer - Questions after researching

Just completed the purchase! They're registering and charging it and I'll drive it home later on today. Yaaaay! And we swapped the fob battery and that fixed its detection issues so that's all good.

One step closer - Questions after researching

Well, in the end I've decided the 2015 is worth it. It's only 2 years old (original dealer got it 12/14 and the lease started 1/2015), low mileage, perfect battery, and based on my canvasing of local dealers they have no clue how to price these things - another dealer who wouldn't negotiate...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I'm about to break down and pay the $10500 the local dealer wants. I was looking to get it to $9500 but that's not happening. I tried to see what kinds of deals I could get on a new one but leasing just doesn't make sense to me - if I buy it at that price, drive it for 3 years, then trade it...
