Faulty front radar has disabled my AEB and cruise control. Problem identified in May of 2018, replaced twice in two months, now Nissan says it is a known problem and are “working on it”. 6 months later, they are still “working on it”.

That’s the impression I got from the manual (2018). However, even if it weren’t the case that reverse chimes for EV’s were required, I don’t believe it’s prudent to disable a safety feature that can so easily prevent injury.

My 2018 Leaf has required service for this twice since February. The first time they replaced the whole front radar. Now, apparently Nissan told my dealership it is a software issue and they are working on it (July 23, 2018). Apparently, there is no fix until Nissan solves the problem

It is 2 years of real warranty as the factory is 3/60000.

I got a reply from the dealer today. Apparently, there is a warranty with electric car language in it. They were able to offer an adjustment to the warranty. What do you all think? 5 years/100000kms, $1600 (includes roadside). With tax is about $1800. Thoughts?
