    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

    Hi bkvszomorito, I suggest to get D/B with Gear query: 0x797 03 22 11 56 00 00 00 00 and you will get 0x79A 04 62 11 56 01 00 00 00 where 5th byte is the gear value. (1=Park, 2=Reverse, 3=Neutral, 4=Drive). Could you check what's byte value for B mode? 7? To get ECO ON/OFF you can ask 0x797 03...

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

    Hi cgalpin, in order to get cell voltage, the requests are: 0x79B 02 21 02 00 00 00 00 00 and 0x79B 30 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 to get all the messages. The answers are: 0x7BB 10 C6 61 02 10 6F 10 6E 0x7BB 21 10 6D 10 6F 10 6E 10 0x7BB 22 6F 10 70 10 6E 10 6F .... with all the voltages in two...

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Exactly, so I guess the only access is by querying the gateway or get single bus data behind the gateway, but I don't even know where to start checking those wires without taking the dashboard apart.

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Hi mux, yes now We're aware about the 12V battery power drain and we're thinking how to stop the OBD2 platform to query the CANbus while it's not necessary, shutting it down. Btw, I'm well aware about this thread and I read it all, but you shall also know that 2018+ Leaf info are missing since...

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Hi Mux, could you address me to the official documentation you're talking about? We've just tested that polling the CAN bus while the car is off, it actually discharges the 12V battery. Is there some info about accessing the regular CAN bus? Tnks

    * LEAF 2018 CAN MESSAGES * Hi all, after months of CAN analyzing, I guess it's time to release all my findings on the Leaf 2018 (+?) CAN messages. I summarized them all in the PDF here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jH9cgm5v23qnqVnmZN3p4TvdaokWKPjM/view?usp=sharing There you can find every...

    Leaf 2018 40kWh - AUX power source

Sorry LeftieBiker, I forgot to mention that I'm not watching the screen but I'm getting data using Spyleaf and storing variables like "Aux Pwr(100W), A/C Pwr(250W), Est Pwr A/C(50W), and Est Pwr Htr(250W)" on my Nissan Leaf 2018 40kWh. I'm wondering now what energy source is actually powering...

    Leaf 2018 40kWh - AUX power source

Hi all, We are trying to estimate the energy consumption of the auxiliary services (heater, fans, etc) in parking condition. Our idea was to read the voltage and current output of the 12V battery from the CANbus but we don't know if there are other DC-DC converters in place. In other words...

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Hi Dala! I loved your 'very boring' video :D At the beginning I wondered "Wth? How did he get passive CAN messages from the Leaf 2018?", then you reveal that the sender had probably got access to the internal wires. Seems fair. I'm curious now how you usually proceed from raw bytes to ECU...

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Hi @coleafrado, yes is like I showed in my post. I tried to sniff pin 12/13 but I couldn't see any messages. Only on CARcan (6/14) apparently even if I guess even formulas are changed for ZE1 case. Any chance somebody share them?

Are you planning to support ZE1 model too?

    LEAF CANbus decoding. (Open discussion)

Hi all, I'm a computer science student who's struggling to understand how to retrieve battery info from my Nissan Leaf 2018 ZE1. My goal is to embed GSM computer board with OBD2 interface to some Leaf we have at the university, collecting battery info as capacity/SOH/SOC/Voltage. Unfortunately...
