We just purchased a 2017 Leaf. Of course the 110v charger it came with is painfully slow. We have an existing 220v NEMA 6-20 style outlet in our garage. We have baseboard electric heat, and this 220v outlet shares a 20 amp breaker with the baseboards in two rooms. The house was built in 1978...
