    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

Sorry for confusing you, I don't know the terminology very well. Yes, my EVGO wall mount has the holster holding the connector in place. When I get home, I take the connector out of its holster and plug connector into my LEAF. Thanks for idea. if the connector doesn't need to be in the...

    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

Do you mean a model 3 comes with a 240v wall charger? Another issue is I currently have my connector hooked up to wall charger. I go home, unhook connector from wall, and hook to the Leaf to charge. If I just buy an adapter, leave it attached to the connector, will it still fit into the...

    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

Hello, I have a 1st generation Leaf and I got the charger that EVGo gave me in the garage. I want to switch to a Model 3 and I am debating between just using the adapter that comes with the Tesla or pay electrician to switch out the charger. Any opinions on what most people do.

    Something wrong with home charger

Thanks. I was looking at my unit. The evgo one that nissan installed 12 years ago. Is it just unscrew the cable in the back of wall unit and screw in new cable. Is it as easy as that? No need to take apart wires and tie new ones together?

    Something wrong with home charger

Hello, I got it to work. I was flexing the charger and held the button down while it was connected. JIggled it and it started to work. It worked twice this way but then stopped working. Am I correct to say it is a broken wire? If so is this repairable or do I need to get a new charger?

    Something wrong with home charger

Yes, that is the one I have. The dealer replaced the 12 volt battery under warranty while at the dealership and charging still won't work. Was able to charge last night with trickle charger. The dealer charged up the car using the same type of 240 volt charger. If its a blown diode, does...

    Something wrong with home charger

I have the evgo charger that was installed in 2012 when I bought the Leaf. Over the weekend it won't charge anymore. Dealer said car charges fine and didn't find anything wrong. My trickle charger that came with car works fine. The wall charger says power on and ready to charge. When I...

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

Sorry for now being more clear but he got the point. Instead of burning gas, I am now burning batteries. Lets say I bought a VW diesel, have I saved money compared to that diesel? Previous poster said in year 4, I get a free battery. But from what Nissan told me, it will be any battery as...

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

Hello, I am a newbie in the calculation of the Nissan Leaf value. I have a 2012 SL with 20k miles and lost 2 bars in 2 years, so year 3, I probably will lose another bar. My main reason to buy the Leaf was to save money on buying gas. After losing 2 bars, I can't go as far anymore, so now I...

If Nissan offered to buy back your degraded Leaf, would you?

Maybe you all can answer this. I have a 3 month Leaf. NO loss in capacity bars but I have noticed that I keep getting shorter ranges with the car with the same type of driving.. I live in Texas where my car sits outside in the hot parking lot. Reading these battery degradation problems, I...
