    NASHVILLE TENNESSEE - LEAF

Has anyone around Nashville heard if there are going to be any National Drive Electric Week events in/around Nashville?

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

I thought I would update this thread just a bit. I will be signing a new ELR lease tomorrow as my LEAF lease will be ending soon. I test drove it a few days ago when I heard about the additional incentives that are bringing prices down. It is a beautiful car and drives wonderfully. He...

    NASHVILLE TENNESSEE - LEAF

The currently-under-construction Midtown Hills Police Precinct on 12 Ave S looks like it has a double J1772 EVSE that has been installed. I guess it could be for public use, but I also would be curious if they have plans to have some BEV or PHEV police vehicles in the near term. Regardless, it...

    NASHVILLE TENNESSEE - LEAF

JPWhite, Do you also use Waze? I saw an alert about traffic today from a user named "JPWhiteHome" up at I-65 north of Briley. Also, love the blog! I didn't know it existed until I saw your signature.

2014 June Plugin Sales Discussion : Leaf 2347, Total 11893

I think it's noteworthy that prototype of PHEV (Volt) was overtaken by the Ford Fusion Energi. I would be much more likely to buy the Fusion over the Volt because of size and styling. It looks like other people think the same thing.

    NASHVILLE TENNESSEE - LEAF

One of my prior complaints about the locations of the quick chargers in Metro Nashville was that there weren't any near Downtown/Midtown/West End which has probably the highest concentration of LEAF owners. I was playing around my my plugshare app and I found that we now have numerous options...

Lexus advertisement talks trash on EVs

Of course, Nissan's move to Tennessee seemed to coincide with an embrace of EVs.

Warning from HOA for trickle charging

The hospital I work at just installed two trickle charge outlets for us to use free of charge. They even hung a sign and painted the parking spot that limits those spaces to EVs only. It's only a trickle charge, but that is plenty for me. Plugging in for 8-10 hours a day is more than enough...

    EV's everywhere!

Here in Nashville EVs are becoming very common, but we are definitely LEAF dominated, likely because Nissan Headquarters are here and the LEAF is manufactured here. We also were one of the EV project locations so there was an initial infrastructure investment. I will see some Volts, but I...

I think the dark times are behind us.

You're right that it would be less CO2, but its false to think private cars play a major role in greenhouse gasses. Transportation as a whole in the US accounts for less than 30% of all greenhouse emissions, and that includes air travel, trains, ships, heavy equipment etc. Vehicles are about...

I think the dark times are behind us.

I think EVs will make tremendous strides in the next 5 years, and I predict that in 20 years EVs will make up close to half of all sales. As battery life increases and infrastructure gets better the public will be more willing to buy, and once they do they will realize it is a superior product...

    2013 LEAF Pricing and Features-S:28,800 SV:31,820 SL:34,840

Our ICE car is a 2013 Infiniti JX35, which has the around view camera. When I purchased it I thought the around view was gimmicky, but the more I use it the more I love it. I can get the JX into places I wouldn't otherwise be able to and it really is helpful when parallel parking (we parallel...

    Leaf Won't Start

There is a free DC quick charger at the Cracker Barrel off of I-40 at exit 219 near the airport. It may be the closest quick charger for those actually in Nashville. Is the quick charger at Nissan not a Blink network charger? It does show up on my Blink app. ----–--------------------...

Level 2 chargers taking 6+ weeks for install in Mid TN

I bought my leaf on 11/21. I filled out the EV Project online form a couple days later and signed the "contract" a few days later when it was sent to me. I still haven't heard anything from them. They may be a little overwhelmed by the volume increase the last two months. I talked with the...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

The day before I went to Action Nissan on Thompson Ln, and my experience was horrendous. Granted, I didn't get to talk to the "LEAF Guy" but you would think all of their sale personnel would know the basics of the LEAF. Well, they didn't. I literally knew more than the salesman I talked to...

Poll : The official "Did you Lease or Buy?" thread

I leased. The $199/month with $1999 (for the SV) drew me into the dealer. I ended up getting an SL with the $7500 federal and $2500 Tennessee credit. Total monthly cost....$183.14. Closer to $100 when I take into account less gas costs. I leased because it financially made much more sense...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

I just leased my first Leaf (silver 2012 SL) yesterday. :D I live in Nashville and bought from Downtown Nashville Nissan. The lease deals was just too good to pass up. I'll sign up for the EVProject shortly to get my free Blink charger installed at my house. I generally use it to drive...
