I think you meant 0.1 miles per kWh. If the Leaf gets 32 kWh per 100 miles then 100% * 0.1 / (100/32) = 3.2% That's actually seems pretty good. At $650/yr in electricity costs that's about $20/yr. These ecomods stack and you also get better range, lower electricity bills and a better battery life.

Thanks. I haven't (knowingly) ever reset either mileage indicator. The 4.3 and 4.0 numbers are, to the best of my knowledge, for 22,883 miles of the car.

Carwings says that I'm getting 4.0 miles/kwh. Dashboard display says that I'm getting 4.3 miles/kwh. Anyone understand why they are different?

Ok, I tried to duplicate it and failed. After 45 minute the hood was cool, no steam, nada. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Pretty sure it was steam since I didn't smell anything but I didn't pop the hood. It went away when I turned the car off. I will see if I can duplicate it tomorrow and I'll take better situational notes.
