Sorry if this is a reputative question, but I've had a nightmare finding a charge point. I have 2% battery left and the next charge point is 4.8 miles away. Will I make it?!!

That's a good question. IMHO, it can only be answered by you. What is the average miles/KWH your car is showing? Is the terrain between you and the charger level, uphill, or downhill? What is the traffic like? Is the charge point even working where you're planning on driving? Can you use a 110vac outlet, or a 240vac outlet, where your car is now? This is also one of the reasons I've purchased a Chademo adapter. If the ChargePoint chademo isn't working, the car is effectively dead and you're in for a tow bill to a working Chademo charger.

Since the date of the OP was yesterday, I'm assuming you've made a decision. Did you make it?

Same here. After going out of my way to a mall with a CHAdeMO only to find an ICE parked at it. Then driving down the Mass Pike to the first rest area with CHAdeMO that also wasn't working. Then to the next CHAdeMO with 2 nozzles - one kept overheating 5 minutes into the charge but the second one was fine. I was at 3% with a 5-year old sleeping in the back and I was getting very nervous. All the while there were several CCS DCFC along the way.

The only thing that saved my keister when my 2015 SV went all dashes more than 5 miles from my house was a couple big downhills that regenned it just enough to avoid turtling. That would be bad on a 50mph road with no shoulder and no median and two lanes in both directions.

This raises an interesting question. When the gauge says 0% is the battery empty, or has Nissan built in a safety margin? And if so, how much? If it's say 3%, it will depend on the temperature (and how you drive) what mileage you'll get until it's really empty
I've got down to 1% when arriving home a couple of times, but I've never pushed it beyond that. I wonder what happens when you get to 0% - can it go negative? I doubt it!
It's difficult to imagine how one could put it to the test while having a charging source available, unless one had access to a rolling road next to a charger?
Hmmm . . .

LeafSpy takes away some of the apprehension when my Leaf goes all dashes… I open the app and can see how many GIDs I actually have left to go!

There is no 0% SoC: it shows as ---% which isn't zero, and indicates there is still some left. But Nissan doesn't want you to know how much.

I know from experience that my LEAF will go at least 15 km after the display just shows dashes for range. The car hadn’t shown the turtle on dash so I imagine there are probably 10+ km past that. I think the car was designed to scare you into charging earlier rather than when the battery is completely depleted. It also isn’t a good idea to run the battery that low on a regular basis.
