I recently found a cheap set of 2004 Nissan Quest wheels including TPMS sensors that I would like to use as winter wheels on my 2014 Leaf SV. A cursory search shows the 2004 Quest TPMS sensors are 315MHz and so are the 2014 Leaf sensors but they do have different part numbers and I worry they may use a different protocol or standard. There are no tires on the wheels so I can't just put them on and drive around to see if they work, and I'd prefer not to pay to mount the tires just to find out that the sensors don't work with my car and need to be replaced. Can anybody help me figure out if these TPMS sensors will work for me?
I have a Maxitpms TS508 which when configured for a 2014 Leaf reads my current sensors but does not read the Quest sensors, although it does read them when I set it to 2004 Quest. I'm not sure if that is enough to say they are incompatible?
