Hey everyone, I’ve been on this forum many times since I bought my leaf a few months ago. I wanted to make an account and formally introduce myself.

3 months ago I wanted to buy an EV. I looked on car gurus to find the cheapest one I could get my hands on and came across what is now my 2012 Leaf SV. I got her for $4,000, original 24kwh battery & 54,800 mi.
She’s got 5 Bars of health, goes about 40 miles in town if you hyperpedal, 11 miles @ 65mph and an average of 4.0mi/kwh.

My journey begins by obsessing over this thing and researching as much as I can. I’ve learned from Dalas videos, this forum, and YouTube in general.

I’ve replaced the gear reducer fluid with some ULV Valvoline ATF, which brought it up from 3.7mi/kwh to 4.0mi/kwh. I got my LE Eco^2 and use LeafSpy pro almost daily, so a personal thank you to the developer of that app. I plan to get some good tires and give it a good alignment plus a rear roll bar and eventually a new battery pack.

Thank you to the creator of this forum, thanks to you I’ve become a more aware Leaf owner and a proud EV owner at that. I want to keep this thing on the road as long as possible. This car has taught me everything I know about EV’s so far in the little time I’ve had it. Please understand I’m still ignorant and still learning.

Hope to learn more from you guys and hope we can bring more of the Leaf community closer and keep more ZE0’s on the road!

Yes, a lot of good information here. My Leaf purchase was an impulse buy, but I am happy I made it. I had wanted an electric car for years and it is serving my needs well.

Welcome to the forum.
