This car has been great for our family and everything works perfectly. My daughter drove this to/from high school, but she just left for college and we don't want this car to sit unused for months, so it is time to sell it. A small quibble with the language: if you are "asking" a given price, then it isn't considered "firm." I suggest that you just say "The price is $5000, firm." If I want to not negotiate unless the car doesn't sell, I'll write "The price is $XXX, firm unless the car hasn't sold in a month (or whenever).

That might help sell the car faster, since it may give the person buying the car a 30% discount if they qualify for the tax credit.
