Greetings all, We have a 2018 AZE1 import from Japan (we live in Australia). It has a button with an indicator light just to the right of the climate control panel. The button illuminates when pressed, but I have no idea what it does. Perhaps something to do with the Bose sound system? Any help/advice would be appreciated.

It’s aftermarket for sure. Seems like a switch for a system that allows you to watch TV on the infotainment screen, sort of common in Japan: https://ec.upgarage.com/en/item/cpa...ories/12257753/Jes-TV-Control-Kit-Switch-Type
Exactly what it is - I have seen many with that logo so it must be one of the more common ones installed over there.

Prove it, by putting a DVD in and playing it, then drive forward, DVD should stop playing. Press the button and it shoul dplay while you drive (the addon fools the car into thinking it is not moving).

You can remove it, usually it's double sided tape holding it on so gentle heat (hairdryer) and pull it off. You can uninstall the whole unit i.e. cut and insulate wires etc but that's work, I would simply zip tie it to the nearest handy place up behind the dash.
