I am having an intermittent problem. I come out in the morning to a fully charged battery and when I press the Start button I get a red error message saying "no power, service EV system" or words to that effect.

Let it sit, and it will start later.

Dealer changed the 12v battery, said it was shot. Car is 10 months old, 17 k miles. Only charge on level II.

1 week later, same problem. Put a charger on the 12v, came to full in 10 mins at 10 amps, so not the 12v battery methinks.

I rebooted the start switch several times, no joy.

Next day it started up fine.

Anyone experiencing this?

Thanks

Welcome. If you are leaving the car plugged in after charging is done, for hours at a time, and frequently, that is killing the 12 volt battery. It's poor designing, but it's a known issue.

I am having the exact same issue, Nissan just replaced the Traction Inverter. The car ran great for 2 days and on the 3rd morning it didn’t start and I got the error no power warning. By the time the tow truck came it did start. It’s been at Nissan for 5 days, they cleared the error codes. Car starts intermittently.
I’m really concerned that I have a lemon, it only has 15000 miles. Nissan can’t figure out what’s wrong and I don’t want to have an unreliable car

I'm in the same boat. Did yours get resolved?

This similar thing happened to us today in our 2018 Leaf. I measured the 12V battery and it was about 12V. After no further action and several hours, the problem resolved itself. I worry about if and when it happens again. After the episode, the car reported that it was charged to 99%. No charging was done during or since incident.

I'm having a similar issue except mine will not turn on and the battery appears to be holding a charge so given what others here are experiencing I'm hesitant to go with that being the issue. I have one door sensor that if people lean on the door when going around the corner and another door was partially left opened so I think that is what originally drained the 12V and I'm not sure if the EV battery has a charge or not as there was a fault on the charger after a storm. Now it won't start. 2018 Leaf.

Heading to buy a new battery today let you know how things go.

I have been having this problem every year anytime the temperature gets below about -5c (about 20 degrees F).
The dealership replaced the pre-charge relay module last year.
I replaced the battery with a Bluetooth connectable LiFePO battery so i could monitor voltage as well as reset the entire computer without needing tools and to stand outside.
An additional symptom i have is that if the car is plugged in overnight to charge, and i turn on climate from the ev services app, sometimes when i go out and unplug and then turn on the car, i will have the yellow power system warning illuminated. Restarting the car (off, then immediately back on) clears the light.

I've got my lead at the dealer. They've identified that the troubleshooting for has them checking replacement of the advanced break module (abs and e-pedal as i understand), and if that's unsuccessful then they have a list of electronics modules to try.
They said they managed to get agreement from their Nissan service rep to cover the brake module under warranty, even though our leaf has over 35k.
