I don't get it !!
I just purchased a 2025 Leaf and installed a 240v dedicated line (with #6 wire and 40amp circuit breakers)
Ran the following test which doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone explain why the charge percentage is almost the same ?

Both tests were conducted for 1 hour with a battery charge level start at 60% (40kw battery)
3.6kw - added 16%
6.6kw - added 18%

Thanks
Wayne Cain

You didn't explain your reasons for doing this experiment?
In any case, 18% for a 6.6 kW charge rate is about right but your 3.6 kW 16 % figure looks high. How did you verify the 3.6 kW charge rate?
Why not just charge at 6.6 kW and enjoy your new Leaf?

At 240v and 32amps, you should be getting 7.6kW available from the EVSE. If the Leaf is only accepting 6.6kW, that is one thing. But if you are using the portable EVSE from Nissan, you won't be getting much more that the 3.6kW. It doesn't support more than that, regardless on a "dedicated line".

All Gen 2 Leafs in NA using the Nissan OEM EVSE default to 6.6 kW charge rate which draws about 27.5 amps. With no setting or adjustment on them, they can only deliver 6.6 kW.

There is no 3.6 KW option so both numbers were derived from the very same rating of charging. From roughly 20% to 88% there is a dynamic hidden reserve masking reality on the dash. For more info (likely much more than you are looking for)
