Yep typo, but the point is understandable64?
Maybe that was a typo? The largest battery Leaf offered is 62. Not 64.
I put a 62 kWh battery from a 2020 Leaf Plus into my 2015 Leaf SL. (Originally 24 kWh.) It involves a fair amount of work. It is a job that would cost about $17,000 retail.
Thanksyes, and "sort of"
The larger pack with its enclosure will fit the Leaf that came with a 24KWh pack, but you need the 64 battery case and it will stick down closer to the ground, and some mods to the mounting are required.
The pack is also heavier so springs from a 64 car are best.
A CAN bridge is needed also for them to "talk to eachother".
Look a Dala's youtube posts for video's of the swap.
What has the new battery costOver 60k miles on my 2014 with a 2019 62kWh pack. Thanks Muxsan & Dala!
I didn't change springs, it rides low, but use taller tires.

No problem 65kwh newest DOTCUSTOM modules + canbridge kit, in standart shell any leaf! Will a 64kWh battery fit in a 24kWh 2015 Leaf?
Be a little cautious here people. At least one of the images is sourced from a russian site that wont load.No problem 65kwh newest DOTCUSTOM modules + canbridge kit, in standart shell any leaf!
Long time ago now, over 5 years now, so not as relevant. 66$/kwh or $4400 for the battery before junkyards realized the bigger battery was bigger? This year, March '24, I got a salvage auction '22+ entire car, not worth rebuilding but still run and drive, to use for the battery and drive system in another project, $6k. That also seemed to be a good deal. I might sell that battery at some point or put it in another 2013 or newer leaf. What has the new battery cost
