Hello Owners. Our 2019 Leaf SL Plus is well designed as an urban commuter, and we hope to demonstrate its praises, both Summer and Winter, in Calgary, AB. We already own a Tesla Mod 3 LR, so our Leaf adds a second EV experience. With only 30K km, we hope to enjoy years of service. We have a garage and Level 2 charger for her, so the majority of our charging will be at home. We've already noticed the very "stark" difference between Tesla Supercharger and any CCS/Chademo alternative in Western Canada. It seems that the focus is on delivering the EV charging stations but not maintaining them. To say they are unreliable is an understatement. So, I'll begin writing to Petro-Canada, Electrify Canada, and others to encourage them to improve. I wish Nissan would continue to invest in NissanConnect for the Leaf as its functionality is lacking. Yes, we've had 12V battery problems (new one now) and a PDM replaced, and the Forum was very helpful building our knowledge.

I also own a '19 SL+. I agree that it is an excellent urban commuter and grocery getter. And I agree with your observation that reliability of CCS/Chademo fast chargers leaves a great deal to be desired. For me at least, the availabilty of Chademo charges is a non-issue. The range of the Plus (for my uses) and the economy of level 2 charging at home mean that I never use fast charging (L3). That is likely good for battery life as well. I have owned 3 LEAFs over nearly a dozen years, this '19 SL+ has definitely been the best of them. I hope your experiences continue to be as good as mine.

Nice to meet you! So far, "Carmen Electra" is doing well in the recent Calgary snow storm, equipped with its Michelle xIce winter tires. We're experimenting with the conditions best for continued 1-pedal driving and when to turn off the ePedal. Like you, we charge 99% of time in garage. Using the Nissan supplied brick, we charge (Level 2) at +10% battery per hour. Yes, it's a total pain to not have a more intelligent remote app for managing charging but "base 10" math is pretty easy to manage in our heads. I've removed NissanConnect from our phones, due to suspected impact to the 12V battery, which I replaced recently. This issue was well documented in the forum. I have not received any further information on the Leaf high speed charging recall which is expected this month.
