I have a Nissan Leaf 2018 with a milage of 189.000km. When I accelerate, with a under half a charge, the % on the dash will drop rapidly and, restore to "original" when i'm done accelerating. I have checked with Leafspy Pro, and it looks like its maybe cell 70 that drops in voltage.
The SOH is 85% Hx: 59%
Would it be a viable solution to try and swap the weak cell?
I talked to a person at specialized EV repair shop, who said something about the cells beeing inside some kind of bag, that would make it impossible to swap the cell with another one if the bad cell had swollen.
He made me an offer to swap the entire battery for a used (33.000km) 40khw battery for 65000dkr (9000$) which is more than I can sell the car for.

Does anybody have any thoughts?
Or does anybody know somewhere en Denmark that does EV-battery repairs?

Regards
Thomas

From my limited experience TJ, you are correct and what you've been told is correct. I would encourage you to read here and watch YT vids, but once battery cell packs have swollen, they're damaged (likely from heat). What you've experienced is likely one or two cells being damaged and theoretically can be replaced, once identified. Leaf spy can/will aid in identifying those suspect cells. The market seems to be at a bit of a nexus at the moment, where battery prices are supposed to be coming down and when they do, it will change everything as battery pack swap out will be much more financially viable and old/faulty packs recycled. There are quite a few good repair shops in EU, several of them post here. If you DIY, the cost is quite reasonable, but it's quite a technical job if anything goes wrong. The job is not cheap if DIY is not an option. Good luck with your project.

I actually ended up selling the car. One of my friends was selling his Leaf to a dealer, and he let me buy it for the same price he was offered.
So I got a 2021 40khw, 92%SOH 98%HX 70.000km cheap, and sold the old one cheap, because of the milage and battery problem.
