I bought a 2013 leaf with 32% soh with plans to replace the battery. I have not had the time to locate a battery. Anyone in the Chester country, Pennsylvania are want to make an offer?
You're right, lesson learned. If someone has a battery, this car would be a great option. You did it backward! Buy the battery first--that is the hard part.
I'm open to replacing this battery with a 40kwhAre you looking for a new battery or an original, high-SOH battery?
Check facebook marketplace, someone has a 40 kwh pack for sale nearby.I'm open to replacing this battery with a 40kwh
Why is that in a salvage sale? I don't see any damage. Says clean title. Nobody is buying that for the battery. Should still be under warranty.@dhh002 watch salvagebid.com
This is how you get battery packs for decent deals.
This one doesn't have much damage so probably won't be a great deal but worth watching.

Oh wow, I didn't look at it that closely but damage is listed as "Wear and Tear" o.o. Very weird that it's for sale on insurance auction... repossession maybe? Why is that in a salvage sale? My understanding is that is mostly happening on car-part.com since anyone can sell there, and not so much on the insurance auctions, since you need licenses and expensive paid memberships to sell there. One reason that vehicle could be at auction is dealer buyback for failing cell. Also slightly possible the pack was harvested already and a bad pack placed in there for auction. This is happening.
