See elsewhere my post about the charger compartment for that only opens with a screwdriver inside the engine compartment (still).

Now the right turn signal is now blinking rapidly whenever activated (while the left turn signal operates normally)

I have to be honest, I'm starting to really hate this car. Did I mention it's literally brand new? The grand total of USD $2,700 to lease it for 24 months seemed a little too good to be true. It was.

I guess I'll go outside and button mash for a while.

As above, the fast blinking tells you that something is wrong, usually with one of the bulbs. I'm pretty sure that's been a thing for as long as I've been driving.

I don't know what to say about your charge compartment door, but if your Leaf is "literally brand new" why don't you have the dealership fix it (and the blinker issue). I've always assumed that's why folks pay big bucks to have a new car.

I perhaps should have clarified here that the car is a 2025 model, with (currently) 545 miles on it.

Yes, the LED turn signal bulbs in this brand new car are all fine.

Yes, I'll have the dealer, who is 145 miles away, look at it as soon as feasible, now that we can open the charging compartment door with a screwdriver from inside the engine compartment.

The "big bucks" here are $19 per month for the lease (yes, really, look at news reports from dealerships in the Denver area who just decided to clear these crappy little cars out of their inventory when Nissan discontinued them.) The remaining part of the $2,700 were dealer delivery fees, taxes, license and doc fees.

A brand new car for two years for $112.50 per month seemed like a screaming deal. Turns out sometimes things are too good to be (entirely) true.

Sorry your new car is giving you grief. Sounds like it’ll be still more grief getting it to the dealer for repair. Hopefully they’ll be sympathetic and competent, and be able to get the car in and out of the repair bay quickly.

Though problematic experiences seem to get more airplay, I’ve read a lot of owner accounts that praise the car for its reliability. Hopefully (there’s that word again) once these items get sorted out you’ll have minimal issues for the remainder of your lease, and you’ll begin to feel differently about that $112.50/month. I know it's easy for me to say because I'm not having to deal with the things you are, but it really is a screaming deal, especially if you don't have to rely on public charging infrastructure.

Good luck, and all the best!

If you were a Ford 150 owner, I would tell you that water entered the taillights causing corrosion to occur in the wiring and CANBUS module. While an easy fix, cost to repair will total over $5,000.

Oh man I'm so sorry for you... 145 miles... I hope you have the 63 kWh battery pack :(

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Did you replace incandescent bulbs with LEDs? If you did, the reduced current might make the computer think the bulb is burnt out. If the current is right at the threshold, it is possible that it detects the "burnt out bulb" in one circuit, but not the other.
