Hi everyone! I've been wanting to own an EV for a while, so I finally decided to buy a used one to offset ~90% of my local trips that I used to take with my Toyota Sienna. Haven't used a drop of gas in a week now! But then I bought a Leaf spy and found some less than great news: SOH is at 63%, and Hx is at 31%! I've been reading around and it seems those are some pretty bad numbers. The overall cell balance seems generally okay, which is promising, but I'm just hoping I can at least get a couple years out of it. I only need about 20 mi / day tops, so I'm doing alright so far. Takeaway: if you're shopping used, get a Leaf spy **before** you buy and insist on checking the battery health.

Is this a 30 kWh Leaf? And how many miles? If its a 30 kWh battery, it may continue to decline. If its one of the last 24 kWh machines, with high mileage, degradation may have slowed greatly by this time, and you should have a reliable 50 miles or more range for many miles.

My goal is 50 cents/ mile more or less for ALL costs except my labor. If you can get that out of the Leaf--that's good enough I think.
