Dear all,
I really need to know if there is anything wrong with my Leaf or not,
I bought a second hand Leaf some days ago but when I plug it in to Type 2 charger(11kW) it wont be charged more than 3kW so it takes long time to be charged fully. I have another car which is charging 6 kW when I charge it so the problem could not be the charger.
does anyone have any idea?
Note: I changed the Charging Time in the menu to 6kW back and forth but it did not solve the problem.

Hi.
There is nothing wrong with your Leaf. The Nissan Leaf charging system is build with a single fase type 2 charger, while most other cars (as far as i know) has 3 fase charging via the type 2 charging connection. If you do the math, using Ohms Law, your Voltage and Amp, you will end op with about 3,2 kW/h. It is VERY frustrating, that Nissan have left the whole charging system in the woods. 1 fase type 2 charging. CHAdeMO insted of CCS for fast charging and timer hidden deep in the menu system, instead of upper limit charging setting (ex. 80%) like most other cars, and Leaf ver. 1. has.

I thought 1st gen leafs have a 3.3 kw/h charging speed and newer leafs have a 6.6kw/hr charging speed. My 2019 SV 40kw leaf charges at 6kw/hr with oem evse.

They do, but the situation in europe is a little different. The Leaf chargers depend on what can be provided on a single phase line.
To get the 11 kw rating of his European charger that must be spread across all three phases but the Leaf can only connect to one phase, leaving it 1/3rd of the rating for the EVSE. In this case it is not the OBC in the Leaf but the EVSE on the wall that is the limiting factor.

Not quite. Only 2011 and 2012's had that limitation. Starting 2013, LEAFs went to 6.6 KW charging "if" they had the charge package which was standard equipment is some trims, optional on others. Only my 2011 had "3.8" KW (16 amps at 240 volt) AC charging. The rest (13, 16, 18, and 19) had 6.6 KW charging. The 2011 was an SL with DC (high trim) the rest were all S trims.
