I'm a greatgrandma, so yes I drive like a granny (gentle acceleration away from stop), therefore the "sluggishness" of ECO mode doesn't bother me, and the restriction it imposes on accelerator pedal actually lets me "feather" the acceleration especially if I have something in the car that I don't want to bang around or topple over; or if the pavement is wet or slippery or muddy

can confirm that the ECO button on the 2015 S model is on the steering wheel
 
The "coasting" vs. "Regen" would be a nice experiment. Now if I only had a nice long, relatively gently sloped highway with no traffic to test it with....

Not a Grand anything, but pushing 70 now. I usually drive in "normal" Mode, but take it easy on the acceleration and braking. Easy on the battery and the tires. I know it will go fast, get there really quickly, but reserve that in case I look in the rear view mirror and see somebody behind me with their head in their phone getting bigger in the mirror really fast. Just good to know its there if I need it. Like you, in slippery conditions, ECO mode...
