My car inherited the battery donor car's problems

I have a long thread on this elsewhere looking at the 2013 Leaf Lithium Ion Battery Warranty. I went backwards and forwards through the whole warranty many times looking at how Nissan defined all of the vehicle's component warranties. What is covered under the 8 year 60 k miles warranty is the pack, singular, and this would include all of the parts that make it up. There are many statements in the warranty that define the pack as a single unit (not individual modules), and zero statements that contradict this in any way. For example, the pack warranty is voided if you open it, or at least this is what the warranty says--Magnuson Moss Act notwithstanding. I am 99.999% certain any competent lawyer would win a case about the pack being the warranty item.

How this applies to the OPs 12 bar pack is unknown. But knowing that the contactors are the problem is very good news overall.
Well, it does seam that Nissan disagrees and was not going to "step up" and repair the pack on their dime.

The car is well beyond the the 8 year warranty window, if that's what you mean?

Anyway, just wanted to clarify that for Leafs it is the entire pack (singular) which is warrantied--not various items (plural) inside the pack.
