Morning,

I’m getting my Leaf on Friday, my first electric car so have no experience. I got the 40 KWh Techna as I very rarely go on long journeys and wife has a petrol car anyway.
I’m looking at a journey next week that is only 23 miles but takes 40 minutes due to all being country roads. Using common sense I would guess the range would drop more than 23 miles because of the amount of time it takes to drive, would I be right? What are peoples experiences when on country roads regarding range?

The slower you go, the better "mileage" you will get (within reason). However, if you are using heat (or AC), headlights, wipers, and/or seat heat, the more energy you use the longer you are driving. Remember, EVERYTHING running or turned on runs off the battery.

Twenty three miles will be a piece of cake for your car. The accuracy of the miles to empty is usually over estimated in my experience.
