Hello,
I just bought a used 2015 Leaf yesterday - and this morning I noticed the things below - I don't know how concerned I should be:
I charged the Leaf overnight on 110 Volts, and this morning:
a. The yellow "Master Warning Light" was on. This is triggered by the yellow "EV system warning Light". I am 99% sure the yellow lights were not on yesterday when I bought the car. Is it OK to drive the car for a few days until I resolve that, or I should not drive it all? Than k you. Does someone know what could trigger this?
b. The red "Master Warning Light" was on. This is triggered by the red "Supplemental air bag warning light". I am 99% sure the yellow lights were not on yesterday when I bought the car. Is it OK to drive the car for a few days until I resolve that, or I should not drive it all? Than k you. Does someone know what could trigger this?
c. This morning I drove the car to the grocery store - which is 3.5 miles away, and approx 300-feet uphill in elevation. The road has a 60-mph speed limit. I consumed 8 miles of range (per indicator) to drive these 3.5 miles, from 83 miles range to 75. Is this normal?
d. When I came back, I drove 3,5 miles downhill, at about 55 mph. I consumed 3 miles of range, from 75 to 72.
e. When I got home, I plugged the car, 10 minute later it showed a range of 69 miles. Is it normal that it decreased?
f. When going down the steepest section of the hill, I removed my foot from the power, and the car started to slow down from 55 mph to 52,... Is this normal? When I put my stich-shift car in neutral in that steep section of the hill, it accelerates (from gravity) from 55 mph to 58. Something is dragging down the Leaf, and it is not coasting freely. Is this normal?
Thank you all for all advice - I hope to drive that car around town for the next 5 years.
best regards,
JS
