The diver's door electric lock on my 2021 Leaf SV stopped working. It could still be locked with the key. I fixed it by replacing the door lock actuator. I attached a picture of the part. I got it from Actuators Plus via Ebay. At first I was reluctant to buy a refurbished part, but I saved $100 and it has a lifetime warranty. I will update this post if I regret my choice.
The actuator has one electrical plug, three mechanical cables and one lever connection. The two shorter cables go to the inside door handle. The longer cable goes to the outside door handle. It is longer because it makes a loop. The lever connects to a rod from the door lock. The actuator is held in place with three screws that you can see from the door jam. You need to disconnect the three cables, lever and plug before you undo the three screws and remove the old part. Install the new part with the three screws before you do the four mechanical links and electrical plug.
Youtube has some good videos that will show how to remove the door panel and handle. The window should be up before you start. Removing the panel is easy. The video includes disconnecting the two shorter cables. The rod from the lock can be disconnected after you rotate the yellow clip. You need to remove the door handle to disconnect and reconnect the long cable. The video I saw did not cover the inside part of the door handle. After removing the outside part of the door handle, remove the two gaskets that prevent the inside part from sliding. Slide the inside part so that the tabs disengage and the part comes loose. You can then disconnect the longer cable. Squeeze the electrical connector on the actuator and the tab will move about one mm and allow you to pull it out. Undo the three mounting screws. You can then remove the old part. It will take some patience to get it past the window channel. The long cable of the new part should be routed to the outside of the window channel before installing the new part. It will take some patience to install it. Install the three screws. Connect the long cable. This will require some patience. Reassemble the door handle. Connect the rod from the lock and the electrical plug. Connect the two shorter cables and install the panel.
