Problem with navigation and Android Auto

Just got a 2019 N-Connecta which turns out to be pre Connect Services. The info, map, and navi buttons on the touchscreen are all greyed out, and Android Auto doesn't work (the audio is switched on, and I have a wired connection to the phone). There's no SD card in the card slot. Is the absence of an SD card the cause of it not having navigation available, and has anyone any suggestions about sorting these issues out? Any help would be welcome.

In case anyone else should encounter this, it is the lack of SD card causing the problem (and also preventing clock and radio settings being saved). Just waiting for one to arrive - purchased off Ebay for £10 rather than Nissan for £478 (yes, £478 - how do they justify that?).

Hi, got the same problem. Did the ebay SD card work? I keep seeing the card has to be secure coded to your vin bu nissan
