Just received a new recall notice. I thought maybe they now have a fix for the level 3 charging issue, but it's a different issue.

My notice states that it's only for MY2019. It's listed as a service campaign P4A17.

Anyone else get this?

*If you live somewhere cold you might want to hold off on getting this recall addressed! I had the software update and now the cabin heating is messed up. On cold days when I most need the heat it suddenly blows cold air (64F) for the rest of the drive. Brought it to the dealership and the tech tried to say it was because I didn’t perform the “proper starting procedure” which entails keeping the blower speed very low for the first few mins. I asked for official material showing this “starting procedure.” He gave me a copy of the owner’s manual supplement issues Feb 2023 for dehumidifying defrosting/defogging when it’s <23 F outside. Nowhere does it state that your cabin heat will completely cease and you will only have AC temperature air! Asked to escalate the issue, I talked to the manager who better explained that other people are having this problem. A Nissan engineer had been at the dealership to examine the issue. I was told the recent update was a failsafe intended to prevent overheating and the issue I described is an unintended consequence, and we just have to wait (and freeze) until Nissan decides to officially call it a problem and fix it.

I got the notice for my ‘23 SV+ in early December. I just got this Leaf at the end of August, so this is my first winter with it (Northern Ohio/Cleveland area). Therefore, not sure what to expect before or after the service. Honestly, didn’t understand what the issue really was!

Anyway, took it in to the dealer on 12/20. They “Completed the guidelines to check and reprogram the HVAC system on the Leaf performed NTB24-048.

Today when I was out, I set it for lower heat (feet) & defrost on a fairly high fan, I can’t say I’m sweating as it is not especially hot air. Again, not sure if this is better or worse. 🫤

I had the P4A17 recall performed earlier this week and have already experienced cold air being blown out the HVAC system around 20 minutes into my commute with the ambient air temperature below -10C. Still trying to consistently reproduce the issue but it's happening with the driver seat heat set to high, steering wheel heating on and the cabin heating set to auto.
