2020 Leaf SL Plus - 78K mileage - Within the last week, when Leaf is below 50% battery and climbing a hill the gauges show a dramatic loss of battery power and potential mileage. When battery indicates less than 30%, the loss of battery under a load is even more exaggerated. When braking recharge is engaged, the positive return of power is also exaggerated under these conditions. Weather is cool, about 50-60 degree F. Battery life indicator shows no loss of life. Mileage indicator 3.4 miles/kwh, which normal for life of car to this point.

What’s going on? How to address? Suggestions?

Per chance, are you part of the recall?

My battery had same symptoms as yours, it is currently sitting at a dealership waiting for a replacement battery module (not whole battery, unfortunately). Getting to this point was not easy (two visits to a dealer who didn't seem to care, one case with Nissan corporate that was a waste of damn time because they took that dealer's word, one visit to a dealer a long way away (especially when 150mi of range is more like 70mi), and so far two weeks driving their loaner waiting.

I am guessing - with not much to go on - that the "potential" problem the recall is supposed to address is going to become more of an "actual" problem with these.

I am not aware of a recall notice for this issue. Hmmm.
