It's incredible how many people have this problem just on this forum. There are probably many more who do and don't know it. I only found by because I was playing with the charge timer in my garage one night without any shoes on, and I noticed my sock was wet.

I was sitting at my desk at work and couldn't figure out why my pants were wet. It is nice to see a puddle of water under the car now instead of in it lol.

Add me to the list! Just got my car back from the dealer and I didn't know why my floor mat was wet! I remember seeing this topic on the forum a few hours ago and thanks to this GREAT community I was able to reconnect my hose! Thanks!! Lets hope this is the last of my issues... I'm only 2weeks in and already had to get my bumper fixed and now a disconnected hose. :x

Was able to vacuum out the water last night. Today I aired it out, smells terrible like a wet dog.

I would've taken it to the dealer before reconnecting it. They ended up replacing my carpet because of the smell.

I'm having a similar issue, except the pool of water is on the passenger's side. The drain tube is securely connected, but the area under the console there is all wet. I think there is a leak further up where to plastic pieces mate, which aren't making a proper seal.

I can only smell it now when I put my nose to it... other than that its dissipated. I guess my only concern is mold... whats under the carpet? Should I be worried? It was wet for maybe a few hours before I noticed it and vacuumed it out and aired it out with the sun hitting it directly.

Just became aware that both front floor mats in my '14 SL were damp. Taking them up, the carpet underneath both was sopping wet. I popped off the driver's side panel as described earlier in this thread and found the drain hose firmly attached. At least some of the condensate has been draining properly - I've seen the parking-lot evidence numerous times.

I'll keep an eye on it today to try to see just where the in-cabin leakage is.

After running the A/C a little while, I found water busily running down the outside of the drain hose and dripping onto the carpet beneath. I felt around the bottom of the tray next to the hose connection and found another hole(!) which seemed to be the source of the water. Could a plug have fallen out of it? I couldn't find one on the carpet.

As a temporary remedy, hole #2 now has a dee-luxe "#9 Sealing Cork" from Lowe's plugging it. I trust a dealer can do better than that... and I'll be sure to flag the soaked carpets and floormats in case they go musty and need replacing.

I detached the drain hose at the drip pan and tried blowing through it - didn't seem clogged at all. The underside of the car now stays bone dry while the A/C is running. That second hole doesn't seem significant - it's in a metal shield below the plastic drip pan.

After all this, I still have no idea why the condensate stopped running out the drain hose. The car is going to a dealer Monday.

Brought the '14 SL to a dealer Monday PM. Just checked with them and the service rep said something like, "A few of them were damaged in the factory and we're waiting for them to make the part." Mmmkay... :?

I'll check with them again on Friday and whenever I get the car back will post what part was actually replaced.

I, too, have water leakage in my 2014 leaf. I first noticed it a couple wreaks ago when mold started growing on both driver and passenger floor mats. I checked the drainage tube on drivers side, but it is properly attached and a majority of the moisture is under the passenger floor mats. I suspect it is leaking further up into the dashboard. It is a pain to take this to the dealer since I live 60 miles away. Has anyone found a solution to this scenario? Thanks

That is BS! Yell at the dealer until they send a flat-bed to take your car for repair. You will probably have to go to Nissan Corporate to get it done. This kind of quality issue should not happen.

I discovered there is a hole/crack in the bottom of the evaporator housing. I took it to the dealer and they are ordering new parts.

My '14 SL has been at the dealer for more than two weeks now - they said the "blower box" had damaged at the factory. While they were able to get that part in several days ("off the factory floor"), they're having much more trouble getting the carpet which Nissan engineers said would also need to be replaced. The ETA the dealer was given was "about August 4".

I had found a similar hole and thought at first that was the problem, but realized the hole was in a metal bracket and not the plastic tray inside/above it. Was the hole/crack you found in a plastic piece?

After two weeks, I was finally given a "complimentary rental" Versa under a policy which I didn't realize was in the Warranty Information Booklet and the service department hadn't mentioned to me earlier. The LEAF specialist I contacted is working on getting the five-day limit for that waived. Today marks Day 17 since I brought the car in.

Lots of problems focused on a small area. Maybe someone yelled at the hose-attacher slacker, and then he started putting the hoses on with a little too much gusto!

Yes. Large hole and crack in plastic housing. I put some duct tape over it to try to reduce the leaking. I pulled the carpet up enough to attempt to dry it out. The dealer didn't offer to replace my carpet. I'm not sure I'll demand it unless there is an odor when fixed.

The LEAF specialist checked in again. ETA for the carpet is now on/about Saturday July 19. The dealer is okay with me keeping the complimentary Versa until it's installed. Monday 7/21 will make four weeks without the car, so I'll be talking further with Nissan about the lost time on the lease, etc.
