looks right. Before Prizms, I do remember the Chevy Novas that were basically Corolla clones.
I toured NUMMI when it was still open and producing vehicles for GM and Toyota. At the time, IIRC, the guide mentioned up to that point, they hadn't ever had any layoffs.
As I posted in another forum:
"The guy who spoke to us at the beginning of the room was a funny guy. He read partly from a script and laughed at some of it (e.g. "you are here") and went slightly off-script mentioning the Toyota Matrix (basically Toyota version of the Vibe) was stolen more often."
Anyway, there were other other auto assembly plants in California that are no longer. I was looking up a former GM plant in So Cal and stumbled across http://www.laalmanac.com/transport/tr04.php
w/many I didn't know of. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Jose_Assembly_Plant
was closed for AGES (I remember passing by the closed buildings when I had to go to a place in Milpitas for PCs/PC parts) but now really is https://www.simon.com/mall/great-mall
. There's a historical display inside about its past as an auto plant.
