California public health officials have notified more than 180 people that they may have been exposed to the coronavirus at a religious service held in violation of the state's stay-at-home order.

The Butte County public health department said Friday that an attendee at the service tested positive for the virus a day after the event.

Department officials said they have instructed the 180-plus people who attended the May 10 service to self-quarantine. Officials were also working to get them tested.

Staying in is working so good.

Yahoo news:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/no-spike-cor ... 42853.html

"Authorities are not seeing spikes in coronavirus cases in places that are reopening but are seeing increases in some areas that remain closed, U.S. health secretary Alex Azar said on Sunday."

Egg on face, crow in stomach of all the "lockdown everyone, everything, everywhere" believers.
Now some places like NY city, dense parts of NJ, Detroit probably should stay locked down. But it's time to open about 99% of the land area of the United States

Most people show no or mild symptoms for a week after infection.

Two weeks later, most show mild symptoms.

About three weeks after infection is when the "fun" really starts, for some.

Declaring victory after a week seems just a bit early. Don't you think?

Spikes from 're-openings' won't be seen for at least another week. Two weeks in most places. The main source of 'BS' here is the US government, followed by the militia-programmed protesters.

The lockdown and shutdown is BS for most of the country not that I have have abided by it at all. Still running up 1,100 to 1,200 miles each month in my leaf.
A few more weeks the evidence will be overwhelming one way or the other pretty sure we all know which way that is going to be.

I've seen charts of the 1918 flu that show 3 major infection curves - summer then winter 1918, and spring 1919. The second one, in winter 1918, was massive compared to the first. Even the third wave was bigger than the first one. Not saying that the same will happen now, but I think we're in for a rough summer. Maybe a worse winter without some kind of breakthrough.

I'm hoping that even our spotty social distancing, along with much better medical science, will hold the second wave to roughly the size of the first. Also, if Winter waves are even a little larger than Summer waves, that should work in our favor. There are still going to be tens of thousands of avoidable deaths, and many of them will be due to the reckless actions of other people, not of the ones dying. A lot of grandparents and older people who have to go out and shop once or twice a month are going to die this year...
