Took my Leaf on the highway for the first time today. My commute is all down city roads, so I've never had to take the expressway until today for an event downtown. Was thoroughly amazed at how all she performed, and how quiet the car is.

Needless to say, I don't think I'll be doing this again anytime soon. But if any of your gas friends are scared that electric cars are slow, here's to proving them wrong. :D

at that speed how many miles for 1 charge, 30 or 40?

GOM didn't update fast enough, since I only did it for a little bit, but I'd guess around 30 maybe. Takes a lot of energy to drive 95, and while you're going to cover more miles quicker, the increase in drag force and other factors probably kills the range. Willing to hear some actual science, though

At 90mph on level road, I've seen the power consumption at 4 "bubbles" on the dash. If you assume that's around 45kW, then a full battery would last just under a half hour and you'd get around 42 miles distance.
