Tire chains in mid-Tennessee

Wx here is cold with ice storms and snow. Interstates blocked, etc. ran out of booze this weekend and was going to open up a can of Sterno, but remembered I had purchased a set of tire chains. Woo hoo, took about 10 mins to get them on while in garage. Drove the 6 miles to Whiskey store on both snowy roads (2 to 4 inches of frozen packed snow), lots of glare ice on roads which were plowed and salted. Drove a mile on asphalt road which had been cleared. All went well. Some noise, bumpy sort of vibration, but took the car up to 35, passing stuck SUVs, etc. I'll post photo shortly.
