Ask Nissan Blocked

Sat May 11, 2013 10:51 am

Sorry to see the "Ask Nissan," blocked..way back in 2010.

Curious as to why. Any light on this question or thought of bringing it back?

(I sent an email to Nissan/Leaf a few weeks ago saying how pleased I was to hear a brief verbal add on our local NPR radio station. ((WBEZ 91.5 FM Chicago.))
Received an email reply saying they were happy that I was pleased with my Leaf.)

Maybe this is the answer to my question? Like writing to your congressman...

One of MyNissanLeaf's subforums is called "Ask Nissan", but it is locked.
I have no idea why.

So why even have it on the site?

See the Introduction! thread in that sub-forum. Jessica posted 14 times from Nov 2009 to April 26, 2010. Then on June 3, 2010 she wrote:

However, I'm working with the administrator to continue to send information, updates and bring in different Nissan representatives on schedule dates/times to answer your questions! Stay tuned for more information. Thanks again!
As I recall, no further official communication occurred for many months, so the sub-forum was finally blocked.

End of April 2013: Traded my 2011 SL for a 2013 S with charge pkg.

Maybe Jessica's replacement didn't see this as a part of her job description and it got lost with the move from Japan to the US?

Perhaps someone with some access to Nissan/Leaf could see if Nissan/Leaf would be interested in the reinstitution of the program?

Seems foolish that Nissan wouldn't be grateful for the advice.

If not, why not just remove the thread and it's heading from this site.

Because if we did that we would also need to remove about 500 other threads. If Nissan wants to come here and do this again I can assure you they will make it known and likely thy decided it was not a good idea anymore. The thread was closed to prevent confusion and additional non-answered posts. End of story.

Thanks for the explanation.

Didn't realize it was that complicated to close a thread.

Completely understand and thank you for such an informative web site.
